Flowers of Scotland - Spring


Although hawthorn bushes and trees are grown in gardens in Scotland, large numbers also grow wild in hedgerows and uncultivated land. The "haws" produced in the autumn are a source of food for birds and the seed inside them allows the plant to spread easily.
