- Shotts & Dykehead Pipe Band
This is the fourth time that Pipe Major Mathieson has led Shotts & Dykehead to the overall top place at the World Pipe Band Championships. The band has also won the "Champion of Champions" contest every year from 1994 to 2001. After their success in the World Championship in Glasgow, the band went on a few weeks later to take the title at the Cowal Highland Gathering.
