Flowers of Scotland - Spring
Heather

Heather

No collection of the flowers of Scotland would be complete without Heather. Fortunately, this versatile plant has varieties which bloom at different times of the year - including Spring. The major problem with the varieties that bloom in the spring is deciding when to trim them back (as they should be, to maintain their compact shape). This one has started to sprout its new growth before the flowers are over.
