The doctor, who works at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, is a firm believer in the health benefits of porridge, encouraging his patients to eat the Scots dish.
He said "I achieved my aim to win and take the golden spurtle to the Granite City. I started eating porridge seven years ago. It is simple, versatile, healthy and very affordable.
Dr Khan used a specially made spurtle, the key porridge making tool, crafted by one of his patients. Competitors travel from around the world to take part in the World Porridge Making Championships, an annual competition to create the best oatmeal dishes.
