From Paisley to the World via Baker Street

In 1978 Baker Street was the song that propelled Gerry Rafferty to global success. I had been a fan of the Paisley-born singer songwriter since my teens and so I might be forgiven for promoting an event inspired by the great man's musical legacy.

The Celebration of Scottish Songwriting concert will take place at Paisley Town Hall (pictured here) on Friday, September 18, and will be the flagship event of Bring it all Home - a songwriting festival inspired by the legacy of Gerry Rafferty

The event will boast a star-studded line-up headed by national treasure Dougie MacLean, Del Amitri frontman Justin Currie and Eddi Reader, formerly of Fairground Attraction.
