Fossil Grove

When Victoria Park was being created in the 19th century, the fossilised remains of the trunks of 300 million year-old trees were discovered. A protective building was built around them creating what has been described as "Glasgow's oldest tourist attraction". See also the separate feature on the Fossil Grove in the "Places to Visit in Glasgow" section of this site.
