'Gers, the Three Bears and the Battle of the Bus Drivers

The Rangers saga is too difficult to explain in a few paragraphs, even if I was privy to the secrets of the troubled club's boardroom. One fact is undeniable and that is that the Ibrox club is desperately short of cash.

Recently a group of businessmen, the 'Three Bears' , have offered to inject £6.5 million into the Ibrox based club. A generous offer by white knights? The response from some 'Gers directors has been muted.

Greenock businessmen Sandy and James Easdale are influential board members and their view is that Douglas Park and his two other investors should not be offered places on the Rangers board.

One of the Three Bears is Douglas Park who is a director of Park's of Hamilton a well known coach company (Picture o Park's o Hamilton coach by Glen Wallace, via Wikimedia Commons.. Ironically the Easdales also operate a bus company - McGill's

A spokesman for the Easdale brothers indicated that although the cash was welcome, it would be wrong for the Park group to be offered places on the Rangers Board
