First Tingles of Spring
Next Saturday, 7th February – Sunday 22nd February with winter on the wane, its time to wrap up warm and hunt for signs of the coming spring. In the museum at the Almond Valley Heritage Centre they will be planting beans and there will be nests to build and loads of springtime things to colour and make.

Then from Friday 3rd – Monday 20th April (which includes the Easter weekend from 3rd to 6th April) the farm at the Heritage Centre is alive with the cheeps and bleats of new arrivals, who will be introduced to visitors at handling and encounter sessions. Grab your clue sheet, sharpen your pencil and tear around the farm collecting clues on the springtime trail. Keep a look out for the hidden eggs that might win you a prize.

In the craft area you can make bonnets, masks and other springtime decorations. There will be further attractions over the four days of Easter including their famous plastic duck race along the mill lade on the river Almond. There will also be regular Tractor and Trailer rides and you can enjoy a journey on the Almond Valley Light Railway.

Scottie has visited Almond Valley in previous years and he recounts his more recent experiences there on Scottie's Diary - Almond Valley Heritage Centre.
