Whisky Galore! - Special LA Screening
On 24th of September there is a special screening of the remake of the movie film "Whisky Galore!" organised by the St Andrew's Society Los Angeles.
I loved the remake of the 1941 classic tale - see News and Views - Whisky Galore which showcased the beauty of Scotland and poked gentle fun at the tension between the strait-laced side of the Scottish character and its fondness for alcohol lubricated social gatherings.
The LA event by the St Andrew's Society Los Angeles includes a VIP reception at the Writers' Guild Theatre. The event also has whisky tasting, bagpipers and Highland dancers, hosted bar and hors d'oeuvres. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with members of the film's production team and cast.
