Hypnotic, Mesmerising, and Continually Shifting
One -Two For over ten years Suspect Culture has devised scintillating, inspiring and exciting multi-media productions which tempt and tease the senses and enrich your imagination with new ways of perceiving our contemporary world. Following memorable shows such as Airport, Timeless and Casanova, this new show, One-Two pushes the theatrical boundaries even more with a fusion of performance, live music, video and lighting amidst a giant scaffolding set.

The title One-Two denotes the microphone testing at the start of a gig, and thus the story begins, 1 - 2, through narrative, lyrics, song, film backdrop, images, symbols, fantasies and at its heart, the music. A blistering strong soundtrack, performed by OSKAR, featuring electric guitars, amplified cello, keyboard and percussion creates the pace, emotion and mood. On screen we view the fast and frantic crowds on underground escalators and passing through airports. On stage we witness a woman, suffering insomnia, counting bingo numbers and sheep, and a man desperately trying to make sense of her sleepless nightmares as the cello sings her a lullaby.

Hypnotic, mesmerising, and continually shifting in tone and texture, One-Two is an intelligent attempt to understand the random nature of our modern world, of childhood memories, dreams and encounters, where life is a lottery. Everyone will take away something different based on how they perceive the story. Written and directed by Graham Eatough, with his consistently fresh and incisive imaginative vision, this is world-class theatre performed with style and compassion.
