Edinburgh International Festival 2004
Experience the Magic of Edinburgh Next Year
It was therefore heartening to read that arts and travel journalists from no less than 33 countries attended this year - at least 50 critics were reviewing EIF performances. With a rich eclectic programme of companies having been invited to perform from across the world it is only right that they are covered in their own national press. There were journalists and film crews from the United States, Canada, Germany, Eastern Europe, Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina and Pakistan. Some had never been before and not surprisingly were taken by surprise by the international scale and scope of the six individual festivals, which combine to create the largest arts festival in the world.
Why not come and experience the magic of Edinburgh next year?
The Edinburgh International Festival will take place from 14th August to 4th September 2005. The details will appear on the EIF Web site at www.eif.co.uk.

- Spreading the Word Across the World
The Edinburgh International Festival has been running for 57 years, attracts thousands of visitors, many coming year after year and is highly renowned as a world-class festival by critics and journalists. But it is important to keep spreading the word. Christian Slater, the Hollywood actor who appeared in the Fringe production of "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" admitted he had never heard of it! It was his mother who persuaded him to take the role and come to Edinburgh in August.
